Last saturday The Cutting Table hosted one of Maryann Talia Pau’s Million Star weaving workshops! Plenty of stars were woven on the long journey to one million!!

Maryann started the project in September 2012 in response to the tragic murder of Jill Meagher. As Maryann describes “Stars bring light and navigate the way. Stars are an important symbol of light and courage across the South Pacific. Weaving a star is a symbol of hope and togetherness, for making a safe community for everyone… the million stars project continues as a symbol of light and courage to stand up against violence in our communities”.

To get involved and help her reach the target you can run your own workshop or check out the workshop calendar on the website!
